lumière de monde
Light of the world
You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes let me see
Beauty that made
This heart adores You
Hope of a life spent with You
So here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
And You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me
King of all days
Oh so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came
To the earth You created
All for love's sake became poor
And I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
And I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross

Methinks I'm rather eclectic, a puzzle. I can't describe myself. My personality is broad, what some have called "A Hub"... :-) *chuckles*
This is a fab quote:
"My clothes keep my various selves buttoned up together, and enable all these otherwise irreconcilable aggregates of psychological phenomena to pass thenselves off as one person."

I honestly had something good to post, but now I forgot it. :-(
Here's a little something a guy at my dad's work said about driving on the veeeery icy roads...
"I was drivin' along, looking at the scenery, then the next thing I knew I was driving along the scenery, lookin' at the road..."
LOL, cute. :-D

It really disapoints me when people have no regard for November 11 (aka Remembrance Day).
As the years go by and the generations grow older, people are farther removed from the hurt and memories of the events remembered on this day... thus there is less feeling and more ritualistic show...
I still remember seeing my great uncle Oliver on TV
several years ago... at 98, he was representing Alberta... he was one of the few WWI vets still "able-bodied".... I don't think I will
ever forget that moment...

Last night I admired the lunar eclipse... I got a glimpse of it when I looked out my window, but my window is not on an ideal angle.... so later in the evening I went outside and gazed up at it, in awe of God's creation.... I shivered on the back step for a few moments, enjoying the stillness of my (then, and most often) peaceful acreage plan... until I was summoned back into the house.
Anyway, it was fascinating, and my sister thinks I am odd. She sometimes calls me a "nerdoid"! *snickers*
Today she made fun of me for my interest in computers, ink cartridges and printers... she really thinks I'm crackers... :-\ hahaha....

Here's a little ditty that arrived in the inbox the other day....
Life Before Computers
An application was for employment
A program was a TV show
A cursor used profanity
And a keybord was on a piano!
Memory was something that you lost with age
And a CD was a bank account
And if you had a corrupted disk
It would hurt when you found out!
Compress was what you did to garbage
Not something you did to a file
And if you unzipped anything in public
You'd be in jail for a while!
Log on was adding wood to a fire
A hard drive was a trip on the road
A mouse pad was where a mouse lived
And a backup happened to the commode!
Cutting, you did with a pocket knife,
Pasting, you did with glue.
The Web was where a spider lived
And a virus was the flu!
Life was good back then! :-)
I hope someone had fun writing that... *snickers* :-)

I just thought to myself that I hadn't even bothered to introduce myself. So, here goes.
I live pretty nearly between Spruce Grove, Edmonton and Saint Albert on an acreage. I graduated
from being homeschooled in June. This spring I went to a URCNA Young People's retreat, where I met
some people who hired me from late August to late September. It was a cleaning job, cleaning a
newly built Holiday Inn. When I got back home I was offered a job at a small printshop, which I enjoy.
So now you people out there have a better idea of who I am... (SH)
