lumière de monde
Light of the world
You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes let me see
Beauty that made
This heart adores You
Hope of a life spent with You
So here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
And You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me
King of all days
Oh so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came
To the earth You created
All for love's sake became poor
And I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
And I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross

Methinks I'm rather eclectic, a puzzle. I can't describe myself. My personality is broad, what some have called "A Hub"... :-) *chuckles*
This is a fab quote:
"My clothes keep my various selves buttoned up together, and enable all these otherwise irreconcilable aggregates of psychological phenomena to pass thenselves off as one person."

I did this quiz twice because I was wavering between answers on several questions... so i got two results.... hmmmm how interesting.... <:-}
"It is the chiefest point of happiness that a man is willing to be what he is."

You are Desiderius Erasmus!
You have great love for others and will do just about anything to show it to them. You are tolerant
and avoid confrontations, so people generally are drawn to you. You are more quiet and reserved in
front of strangers, but around some people you open up. When things get tough, you like to meditate
alone. Unfortunately you often get things like "what a pansy," or "you're such a liberal."

What theologian are you?

"God will not suffer man to have the knowledge of things to come; for if he had prescience
of his prosperity he would be careless; and understanding of his adversity he would be senseless."
|
You are Augustine!
You love to study tough issues and don't mind it if you lose sleep over them.
Everyone loves you and wants to talk to you and hear your views, you even get things like "nice debating
with you." Yep, you are super smart, even if you are still trying to figure it all out. You're also
very honest, something people admire, even when you do stupid things.

LOL The following is a post I had in drafts for several days... I never finished it, and now i don't feel like finishing it, so I'll just slap it down the way it is. I will add, however, that today I did not get entangled in such a converation/debate, as he was not at church. <:-}
Last Sunday I left church with words churning in my brain, wanting to be released, but I knew better than to totally mouth off, so I stewed all the way home...
During our "coffee time" This guy (who shall remain un-named for now) was talking to me about post-seconday education. I was quite displeased that he would not accept my statemets and thoughts on the subject as valid. He seems to think that he is right and that his opinion is the only one that matters. He told me that I was just saying what I thought my father would want me to say. When I informed him quite pointedly that I was not, that I had formed my statements in my own head and in my own words and they were completely mine, he had to back-peddle a little but he continued to be as obstinate as ever. He was much insulted after I "turned up my nose" at the UofA in general (though I HAD just finished ooohing over their sports teams, because the night before I'd gone with a bunch of friends to see the UofA mens and womens volleyball teams play Calgary... it was really good). He went to the UofA so I think he was getting up on his high horse because he feels like its "his"... you know all the "loyalty to your school" stuff...

Auld lang syne, me dear, for auld la-ng syne-- (u kno the rest, i'm sure..., lol)
Wow, it's 2004 already!
I really do not have anything interesting to post on a blog, but hey: the Grove's Eastside Mario's is finally open and I saw people are dining there.... fun. It took a while, but they're now getting some new stuff up around here.... so it will no longer just be called a city, but start looking more like a city... *bleh* but i must admit it's rather handy to live nearby. I still call Spruce Grove "Town" and Edmonton "The City". <:-) *chuckles*
I was really sad when I saw that
Aster says she is quitting blogging... :'( I miss her posts already. :-\ All the best to all of you in the coming year.... :-)
