HoneyBobby Goldsboro
[Words and Music by Bobby Russell]
See the tree, how big it's grown
But friend it hasn't been too long
It wasn't big
I laughed at her and she got mad
The first day that she planted it, was just a twig
Then the first snow came
And she ran out to brush the snow away
So it wouldn't die
Came runnin' in all excited
Slipped and almost hurt herself
And I laughed till I cried
She was always young at heart
Kinda dumb and kinda smart and I loved her so
And I surprised her with a puppy
Kept me up all Christmas Eve two years ago
And it would sure embarrass her
When I came in from workin' late
'Cause I would know
That she'd been sittin' there and cryin
'Over some sad and silly late, late show
And honey, I miss you
And I'm bein' good
And I'd love to be with you
If only I could
She wrecked the car and she was sad
And so afraid that I'd be mad
But what the heck
Though I pretended hard to be
Guess you could say she saw through me
And hugged my neck
I came home unexpectedly
And caught her cryin' needlessly
In the middle of the day
And it was in the early Spring
When flowers bloom and robins sing
She went away
And honey, I miss you
And I'm bein' good
And I'd love to be with you
If only I could
One day while I was not at home
While she was there and all alone
The angels came
Now all I have is memories of Honey
And I wake up nights and call her name
Now my life's an empty stage
Where Honey lived and Honey played
And love grew up
And a small cloud passes overhead
And cries down on the flower bed
That Honey loved
And see the tree how big it's grown
But friend it hasn't been too long
It wasn't big
And I laughed at her and she got mad
The first day that she planted it, was just a twig... [fades]

Should you go first and I remain
to walk the road alone,
I'll live in memories' garden, dear,
with happy days we've known.
In Spring I'll watch for roses red,
when fades the lilac blue.
In early fall when brown leaves call,
I'll catch a glimpse of you.
Should you go first
and I remain, one thing I'd have you do-
Walk slowly down that long, long path,
for soon I'll follow you.
And, I'll want to know each step you take
that I may walk the same,
For some day, down that long long path
you'll hear me call your name...

Last night I found out my grandpa had died.
Sad, but at the same time not really.... we can be at rest, not worrrying about... some things...
He will be re-united with Mary, his true love (my grandma) and meet his Lord.
That is a happy thought....
But still it is sad for us. Mom in particular....
*sigh* life is so complicated.... Gloria is a witch... :-(
Fiona is much more able to express some things....
Mom and I are not very pulled-together right now.
I wish I could go hide... I wish i could run in a golden field of gently rolling hills full of long grasses.... wind rushing trough my hair and sun beams kissing my face.... *sigh* Talking to God in His glorious Creation is such a wonderful, comforting thing for me...
Putting a mask of happiness on is so difficult, and as some of my friends may have noticed, the past year has been very hard on me and my "sunny side" has slipped a tad. Apologies... but when my "give tank" is empty or low, it gets tough to keep on acting like myself(sunny). Even peopel who love giving and makingothers happy have down times, times when they need to be uplifted or given a "little somethin".... Sometimes it's easier to hide everything inside... and sometimes it is not... Sometimes it backfires... Sometimes it is the best way to make time for God...
aaaaaccccgghghghghhk...
i cant even think straight muchless create a post...
more later... hopefully when i can actually make sense...
